Similar to mlandry, I would LOVE to hear examples of rethinking where technology can be used at our service as well as push us to do even more.
Anyone who has seen or heard of smart educational models that consider social networks as a valuable source for enhancing effective teaching and participation outside or beyond the classroom as well? What might the trick be for leveraging social networks to create educational tools built around them?

I'm thinking the power of social media for serving teachers to become more effective is: a) being able to use the world as the classroom, and b) using 'social contagion' (Stratosphere reference - by Michael Fullan) to use the group for embedding innovating teaching and learning throughout the school(s) or system(s). In this way, you have social media serving teachers to become more effective with the sharing of innovation and effective teaching knowledge.

The new version of Google Docs is Google Drive, it is a game changer for teacher collaboration and professional sharing. Skype Education is opening up the world to learning with and from each other. My favourite social tool these days is Twitter, powerful, profound and engaging for professional growth.
